The City Outside is a boutique Landscape Design outfit headed by Principal Designer, Becky Bourdeau, and committed to unbridled creativity, pie-in-the-sky projects, unique applications of materials and design concepts in order to produce art of Portland’s urban outdoors.

Our neighborhoods are an expression of our values –individual personality, community pride, sustainability, and a belief in the importance of life’s simplest pleasures: food, friends, and family. The City Outside seeks to embody this spirit, making our city’s outside into the places that facilitate our experiences –from the everyday to the extraordinary.
